I’m really getting into the daily picture taking! Here goes last week:
Sunday. The photo is the roof of the courtyard at the Edinburgh mosque kitchen. After I spent all day with the application form on Saturday, we did some proper weekend activities on Sunday. First we went to the mosque for a late curry lunch, then on to a charity fundraiser gig. 12 bands were playing, including Scott from Frightened Rabbit. I also discovered Chutes. The whole thing obviously hadn’t been publicised very well, since the audience seemed to mainly be the people in the bands and their mates, but it was still great and a nice relaxed athmosphere.
Thursday. This is the map behind my desk at work. Under the old administration, I used to work on evaluating the promotion of Scotland and they used to have this marketing slogan ‘Scotland, the best small country in the world’. I thought it was so silly, because Scotland isn’t actually *that* small. Which is why I stuck this post it note next to Luxembourg, which is a proper small country.
Friday. I went to a party, and this is how I did my eyes. At the concert on Sunday, lots of girls had flicky eyeliner, and it looked so good, so I thought I’d go for that, but I just have those kinds of eyes where make up just disappears in. I could do my eyes in full goth style, and it wouldn’t be that noticeable.
Saturday. I’ve got a cold and am trying to make myself feel better with giant mugs of hot Robinsons (blackcurrant squash) so that I’m fit for going out again tonight. I don’t know why I think hot blobbies will cure me, but if I believe it, it will be true!
