Outfit 29 May 2009

29 May 2009

It is so hot in Scotland! I wore this to work but then had to change into a skirt without tights to avoid dying of the heat when we went to the Taste festival in the evening! I still can’t really believe this is happening, and I’m just hoping that this hotness now doesn’t mean that the rest of the summer will be crap – which is what happened two years ago. Which is why I’m tryin to enjoy it as much as possible.

The other notable about this possibly-not-quite-as-exciting-as-usual outfit is that i managed to find skinny jeans that fit me in the charity shops. I’ve been looking for ages, but as quite a big girl with an even bigger bum, I’ve never found any that actually fit me – until now. They are stretchy ones from Gap, and not actually that skinny, but skinny enough for me!

tshirt – zara
top underneath – aa
jeans – charity shop
shoes – topshop
necklace and braclet – me-made
bag – me-dyed

Beki, no, I didn’t make it, I just dyed it blue. I posted about it: http://orangesapples.blogspot.com/2009/03/dye-and-washing-machines.html

I wish i could sew that well (or at all, really!)

the gap makes the best range of jeans for curvy girls. we are shaped almost exactly alike (yeah!) and i swear by the gap–i don't think i own a pair of pants from any place else. plus, they are still reasonably priced, as opposed to $175 department store brands.
