Les Puces Du Design

On our second day in Paris we went the les Puces du Design, a biannual fleamarket for contemporary furniture – 1950s, 1960s and 1970s mainly. There were quite a few bits of furniture there that we saw exhibited in the Centre Pompidou a couple of days later (obviously not the same ones, but you know what I mean). I managed to take some pictures, although noone else was, so it was a bit odd!

tiled table and orange chairs

There were a lot of tiled coffee tables and I was madly in love with this one.

Here’s another one that’s pretty shiny too.

rockin chair
How wonderful is this rocking chair?

This lamp, which would look great in our current living room

Dave loved this chair and wants to make a miniature model of it – his head is always full of potential projects.

Wow I wish they had these sort of events near where I lived… some of that furniture is great! I've never seen a rocking reclining chair before and those tiled tables are lovely. It seems strange no one else was taking photographs, I would have been snapping away at everything!

Oh to be in Paris again. There is so much eye candy in the retro furniture. Did you purchase anything, I think I'd have had a hard time restraining myself.
