Angel-A

Last night we watched a random French film, Angel-a by Luc Besson. When I say random, that’s because we had been waiting for the first DVD of series 5 of the Wire to come through the love film (thats like netflix, americans), and instead we got this. I must have put this on the list at some point in the past, although I have no recollection of doing so or why. So I was initially a little disappointed not to be able to continue on with the Wire (its like crack to me, seriously!), but it turns out its a really good film! Its a love story between an small time gangster/dodgy businessman on the run from all the people he owes money to and the angel sent to help him turn his life around. Who happens to be a six foot blonde Rie Rasmunsen dressed as a ‘sallope’. Its filmed in beautiful black and white in a completely deserted Paris (apart from the characters of course). Even if love stories aren’t your thing, it just looks stunning. I couldn’t find any photos showing the cityscapes, but the stills showing the actors are still pretty nice, non?

Have a good weekend!

OMG I watched this movie completely randomly too and I really enjoyed it too. In that first pic when they're at the cafe and she reveals her wings! Whoah.
