A while ago, I had a guest post over at Style Symmetry, now here’s the reciprocal one from Eyeliah. It’s make up based too!
If anyone else fancies doing a post swap, let me know! Basically I post on your blog, and you on mine, it can be about anything. This will introduce our respective readers to a new perspectives, promote blog interaction and it’s a lot of fun! Anyway, enough nattering from me, on with the post:
It is important that every make up wearing woman has a five minute face system in her bag of tricks for those days when we are running out of the house, slept in or for summer days when less makeup looks better. Today I am going to share with you my easy as pie (why does that saying exist, pie isn’t easy) five minute face.
So before we get started it’s important to wash our face and apply sunscreen. Here is my bag of tricks listed in order of application Clinique Quick Corrector in Light, Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder in Stay Neutral, Bonne Belle Eyeshadow Box in Café, Cover Girl Clear Mascara and Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Fig or Rhubarb.
A dab of quick corrector on under eye circles and red nose (hello summer sun!) and then use a q-tip to spread over the area.
Next use a powder brush to lightly dust the tzone to minimize shine.
Then dust the brown eyeshadow over the lid and also to line below the eye. This creates a nice eyelined look without being as heavy as eyeliner. Use the white or pink highlight for under brows and inside crease. This is also good to add some shimmer to cheeks.
Almost done, add a coat of the clear mascara, perfect to lengthen and separate without having to worry about smudging and clumping. Note: May be best suited to us with dark eyelashes.
Lastly a swipe of Burt’s bees Lip Shimmer, if you haven’t tried it yet this stuff is amazing and simple, tastes like peppermint.
So there you have an almost bare makeup job that is perfect to look like you don’t have any make up on. Enjoy your five minute face.
