Fabric detail

This is what I wore on day two of Summer Sundae, more decorations in the background!

You may remember that a little while ago I put myself on a shopping ban, and yes, you guessed it, I broke it for this dress. On the day I bought it, I was actually thinking about posting a shopping ban update congratulating myself on how well I’d done in sticking to it. I had even resisted the urge to buy a new bikini, despite the fact that the two ones I’ve got are 10 and 7 years old (yes, that’s right, and they even survived three months of almost continuous wear in Belize back in 2004). And I’d been going into charity shops only looking at the housewares/knick knack shelves.

But then all the good work was blown to bits by the beautiful vintage strawberry print dress. I wasn’t even looking at the clothing racks, but it just screamed out at me from across the shop and magically beckoned me over. Isn’t it the cutest? Only 6 pounds too! I just couldn’t resist. I’m still debating whether this little slip up means I have to forgo one of my three trips around the charity shops I am allowed before Christmas or not. I have a little bit of time to decide anyway, and think I will make the decision depending on whther/how much I buy in Berlin in September.

dress – charity shop
shoes – adidas
sunnies – gift
ribbon – they were handing them out

Perfect cute dress – you definitely had to buy it. Are you going to cut it a little shorter?

I'd have broken a shopping ban for that dress too. Looks lovely on you!

    thanks guys!

Diana: I have learnt my lesson and will not go into any charity shops until i'm actually allowed to buy agin, then I won't be tempted. that's the plan anyway.

Jayne: I'm not sure I would call this dress ladylike! It reminds me of a little girl's outfit somehow.

Skye – I might, although having it this length is quite good for sitting down reasons. Maybe just 5cms to get it above the knee.
