15.1.10: red and green and blue

handmade bracelet

bird brooch

From Friday. Apologies for the rubbish flash based picture, but I liked this outfit enough to want to take a picture even without natural light. I amost never wear this skirt, because I always think its going to be too tight, so I’m too scared to try it on. But it is actually just right, as I discovered in the big wardrobe clearout!

Red top, green top, skirt, shoes – charity shops
bird brooch – from when I was little
handmade flower bracelest – surprise gift from the lovely Biba of Angels and Blossoms

This is so cute and your colors make me think of a fresh box of crayons, I can almost smell their waxy goodness!

That bracelet is really cool! What color are your footless tights? (It's hard to tell in this picture.)

OK, don't shoot me. I think the skirt would be more flattering if your knees were a tad visible. From the photo you provided, I think that means hemming it about 2 inches higher. Not a horrible task, but an un-exciting one.

I love the bird pin. Love.

Historiadora – I know that photo is awful, but its the best one I had! They're an orangey red, slightly more orange than the top. This is them:

Neighbourhood Gal – constructive feedback, yeah! I completely agree with you that knee length would be better since I'm so short, although I'm going to keep it. It's an expensive/quality brand skirt, is lined and has a slit at the back, so I'm not able to shorten it myself (am very inexperienced at sewing, and anything with lining is beyond me) and I'm too stingy to have it done professionally, particularly since I don't wear the skirt very often. It's even more of an issue with the skirt I wore in my previous outfit, which really is far too long!

I love these bold colors together. And that bracelet is great too! I love chunkier bracelets like that. The wooden birdie is also a great touch. It's from when you were little? Isn't it fun to wear things that *mean* something? πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing this colorful post. Good on the eyes. πŸ˜‰
