Charity shop finds

It’s been SO long since I last did one of these posts, but I’ve been charity and vintage shopping again and I went on a bit of a binge! Here’s what I got:

vintage 1960s dress
A 1960s dress. it was only £5 in a commercial vintage shop, and I haven’t quite figured out whats wrong with it to make it that cheap. The material is a nice synthetic silk-like thing, all zips are present and correct, there are no stains and it doesn’t smell. Hmmmm.

reversible 1970s jacket
A reversible 1970s jacket. This was the most expensive thing I bought, but it’s different from everything else I own, and the pattern is so lovely, retro yet modern. And did I mention its reversible?

Alan Partridge cardie
I was thinking primary school teacher or kid’s TV presenter when I got this, but Dave says Alan Partridge. Aaa-haa!

work dress
A lovely dress from Zara. It’s stretchy, so doesn’t look as straight when I put it on. Perfect for work.

orange long sleeve tee and pyjama bottoms
An orange long sleeved top for under things and some new pj bottoms.

yellow sixties dress
I also tried on this dress, which was cute, but ultimately too expensive at £23. It’s also difficult to think of many occasions where this would be appropriate, since it’s not smart but it does demand a special occasion.

RAF uniform jacket
Finally, Dave got this RAF jacket. He’s quite into his military coats – maybe one day I’ll do a dedicated post if he’ll let me!

That first dress is so lovely and I adore the subtle two tone of the cardigan. Don't question the dress' inexpensiveness, just roll with it!

Yay to all the treasures! The first dress is lovely, and the reversible jacket is to die for. The yellow dress you left behind was beautiful too, but there are times when you just have to be practical and stick to the budget!
