fox brooch

This is what I wore to go for lunch in the Kitchin, one of Edinburgh’s two Michelin starred restaurants. I’m glad I dressed up a little, because it was all very posh. But that being said, this dress only cost £5!

Vintage dress – armstrong’s vintage shop
Lea Stein fox brooch – present from Dave
Shoes – schuh

The restaurant do an affordable(ish) lunch deal (dinner is £80-£100 a head), and you could tell, because the restaurant was full of couples like us, who love posh food, but don’t have the money for eating it regularly and were therefore completely in awe of all the amazingness and all the rituals that come with it. It was probably the best food I’ve ever eaten, especially the pistachio souffle with pistachio ice cream I had for pudding. I could actually have died while eating that. We’ll definitely go back.

I’ve added some photos of the lovely food from the Kitchin’s website below, plus a picture of Mr. Kitchin (his actual name! If you’re in the UK and watch food shows like Great British Menu on the BBC you’ll probably recognise him) looking cheeky.

Mmmmmmmmm I love posh nosh too. It sounds like you had fun.

The black and white outfit looks good and suitably dressed up for your lunch. I could never pull of white tights but they look great on you. My skin is so pale, if I wore white tights people would just think that's the colour of my legs!
