Vintage poster inspiration: the golden age of the British Railways

My vintage picture obsession continues apace. These British Railway posters are all from the 1920s and 1930s. Via the BBC.

    I am such a sucker for old posters as well. There was a time when I was all over old war propaganda posters, but the inspiration from those turned out to be rather gloomy. These are simply beautiful.

    I LOVE these–have you seen this photostream? The user used to be at flickr but was deleted for TOS violations. This one is one of my absolute favorites, and googling the artist led me to discover that reprints are available from the London Transport Museum. Lovely.
