Here’s days two and three of the ‘a different bag every day’ challenge. Just to clarify, I’m only doing this for a week, I just can’t keep up the daily photo taking any longer, and challenges are better time limited anyway. Thanks to the Pale and Pallor Princess for highlighting the fact that I never gave a time limit for this challenge!
Anyway, the day 2 bag I made myself, very early on in my knitting career. It’s knitted then felted, it was one of those kits you can buy, but I added the start brooch, which I designed myself for interest.
The bag from day 3 is from a charity shop, it was really cheap! Like £3 or something. I haven’t worn it very often though, I don’t know why, because it’s lovely. Maybe it’s one of those things where something is delicate and you want to protect it from wear and tear. Which I don’t subscribe to at all (stuff is for using, otherwise, what’s the point) but maybe subconsciously I do.
The shirt I’m wearing is new, I’ve been feeling a bit shopaholic recently (which is both part of and contributes to my general apprehensiveness about life) and I got a new work dress from the people tree sale, and chucked in this shirt, because I need more shirts. I was expecting it to be way smaller and shorter than it is. You can’t really see in the picture, but it’s really quite big. I did briefly consider sending it back for a smaller size, but it is actually the right size around the chest, so the 10 would probably be too tight, and it must be meant to look oversized. Plus it was cheap, and I didn’t want to spend on postage for sending it back. Hopefully it will grow on me.
