Over the last week, I’ve set myself a challenge to make sure I use what I have in my wardrobe to it’s full potential – this time focusing on bags. I have at least 30 bags in my drawer (probably more, I should count!), I always find great ones in the charity shops and people give them as presents often too, so it’s actually hard work not to accumulate more.
But mainly I only ever wear one of them, my black leather tula one. Which is fair enough, because it was bloody expensive (for me, anyway) and is the only one that’s smart enough for work, yet big enough to carry files around in. But now that I’ve got that bag down to about 20p a wear, I just felt that it was time for me to give my other bags a chance!
This bag here was a free promotional one for a major seminar some of my colleagues were organising. I have nothing to do with rural policy so I never went and never got one, but had seen others with it and I wanted one for myself! I like the design and it’s nice thick material, not the flimsy stuff these promotional bags are usually made of. So shameless as I am I actually went and asked for one. After all that, it was the least I could do to actually wear it for more than putting groceries in.
The outfit details:
tunic, cords – charity shop
necklace – I made it out of the handles of a thrifted bag
bangle – beacon’s closet
shoes – converse
bag – free from work
Do you have lot of bags? If so do you wear them all?
If anyone fancies joining in with the challenge let me know, and I can maybe do a round up post. I honestly have no idea if this bag thing is common or if it’s just me!
*** for clarification – I’m only doing this for a week! I could keep going longer, but this daily photo taking business is too much work for me so I have now completed my challenge (I’m a week behind with posting) ***
