Thanks everyone for your nail polish recommendations yesterday. It seems OPI is the runaway winner! I shall check out options and report back. I may be similar to Chelsea in that my fingers are not keen on being painted. The nails inc stuff lasted close to two weeks on my feet, but was starting to chip after day two on my fingers.
Anyway, on with Barcleona pics!
This is what I wore on the second day.
top – sisley, from the early 1990s!
skirt – h&m
bag – I dyed it blue
shoes – clarks
necklace – primark
sunnies – topshop
In the morning we visited a street in the Raval with lots of vintage shops. The shops all looked great, but the pricing was beyond ridiculous and the quality of stuff was pretty poor. I tried on three dresses, two had broken zips, and one had a massive hole under the arm and you could tell all the other seams were going as well. And they were charging 40 euros for it!
This was an antique shop where they were intent on not selling anything. You had to ring a bell to get in, they followed you around like you were gonna steal stuff and there were signs everywhere saying ‘don’t touch!’. They did have a pretty snazzy collection of cocktail hats though, so it was worth it just to have a look.
A giant statue of a cat on the Rambla de Raval. Check out my ankle socks, which I soon got rid of. Not so good for people with stumpy legs!
We had lunch in a lovely vegetarian organic place.
In the afternoon we climbed Montjuic, a big hill nearish the city centre with fantastic views on the city and lots of these plants called foxgloves i’m standing in front of for my outfit pic.
