outfits: a blue one and a red one

First up, thanks for all your kind comments on yesterday’s budget-related post. I was obviously overreacting just slightly, it’s not like they will start letting people go straight away. And I have to remember that we are actually lucky, there’s two of us, we have no dependents yet, and we own a flat that we can sell if it all goes compltely wrong! I just panicked because the budget plans creates this potential big unknown hole in our future, and uncertainty freaks me out no end!

Anyway, I appear to have taken quite a few outfit pics since we got back and now have a huge backlog. I blame the lovely weather, it makes it so easy to look effortlessly good!

I’m gonna do them two at a time because otherwise it’s just getting silly:

14.6.10: blue and white, fashion, clothes, style, outfit, thrift, thrifted, blogger, blog, creative, colour, color, charity shop, quirky, individual

14.6.10: blue and white

necklace

This was what I wore on my first day back at work after the holiday. I thought the light colours would set off my tan, though I was slightly hampered by the fact that I hardly had one at all. I do now though because it’s been warm but not as hot that you have to hide in the shade! Spain – 0, Scotland – 1!

Also, I appear to have forgotten to do anything to my hair! Tant pis!

dress – h&m
jacket – levi’s twisted jeans, remember that? I was that close to getting rid of it a couple of years ago, and am I glad I didn’t. There was a girl in my yoga that had a twisted jeans coat on, and I liked it so much that I actually searched ebay for it, but to no avail.
necklace – gift from HandmadeByAlison, who is also contributing the 500th post giveaway
shoesies- my girly friends gave them to me for my birthday! They’re Clarks originals.

15.6.10: red and white and brown

15.6.10: red and white

And the day after. I remember being really hot in the thick cotton tights, but if I wore that now I would actually die from heat stroke!

top – h&m
skirt – Dave made it
shoes – Clarks
bag – the Leather Store on Etsy
brooch – used to be my grannies
