I made this for Dave’s mum, out of Rowan Kidsilk Haze, a mix of mohair and silk. It’s basically just a plain feather and fan pattern, knit in a really thin yarn on 6mm needles. It’s quite faffy to knit, because you have to be really careful not to pull it too tight, but it’s worth the effort!

    Very lovely! Whenever I'm browsing wools in John Lewis I have to pause to stroke the kidsilk haze, but I've never knitted with it.

    I love this so much. The detail is so beautiful and I love how delicate it looks. This makes me want to pick up some sticks and begin knitting.
