So, Summer’s over! My parents have returned home, my holidays are taken and there’s really nothing significant between now and Christmas. Scary biscuits! I’m sad to see summer go, but I’m also sort of happy for a bit of normality to return to my life. I need to get back into a routine, and there’s a few things I want to do that I’ve kept pushing into the future because I’ve been too busy. So, what better than to do 4 Simple Goals! These are four things you want to achieve before the year is out. Here are mine:
1. One thing that has really suffered with all the travelling and having visitors is the amount of exercise I do. In addition to general lazyness/busyness, the place where I do ashtanga stopped it’s classes near me and moved everything to a different venue a bit further away. So I need to find a new yoga studio. I have a couple lined up to try out already, so that’s promising. I also want to get into running. For the two weeks between my Luxembourg and London I went for a (super short) run every day and I was just beginning to feel myself getting fitter when I went away again. So, my aim is to do some for of exercise at least 5, ideally 6 days a week. I’m not putting any pressure on myself in terms of what that exercise is, but it has to be at least 20 minutes, so my 100 daily sit ups and my walk to work don’t count.
2. While I’ve been quietly knitting away in during summer (lots of train journeys), I’ve done nothing on the shop for ages (apart from listing Dave’s bags, which wasn’t really anything to do with me). That’s fair enough, because noone buys wooly things in summer anyway, but autumn is fast approaching. I still need to take photos for at least three hats and probably about 8 scarves and scarflettes. I want to make a proper go of it this autumn and winter, and maybe even do a craft fair!
3. I’ve been a terrible friend these last couple of months. I’m going to make more of a proactive effort to do stuff with people, especially with friends I haven’t seen for a while.
4. So far, the wedding planning has been going surprisingly smoothly, and I’m intending to keep it that way. By the end of the year, I want to have chosen a photographer at the very least, and I want to spend more time looking at wedding inspiration and generally getting excited!
The original post asks you do an update on each of your goals as you achive them and do a round up post at the end of the year. I’ll do the round up but I’m not sure about blogging about stuff in between. Would you guys be interested in posts on any of them? Actually I’m gonna do no. 2 anyway as I list things (whether you like it or not!). No. 1 probably wouldn’t be hugely interesting, and I can’t really do no. 3 because I try not to expose other people’s private lives on here. So that just leaves no.4 . So, would you like some wedding inspiration posts?
