What’s in my bag?

my bag

what's in my bag

This is for Hillary for her birthday: a little nosy into what’s in by bag. Or what was in my bag on Wednesday anyway!

from left to right, top to bottom:
* pens, blue and red (in case I am asked to proof read at short notice)
* notebook
* a map of Montreal from 1995, given to me by a colleague. We are going in Spring! It’s quite weird looking at it without any sort of idea what kind of things are in the areas on the map. I’ll get a travel guide soon, but there’s no Time Out one (Time Out being my travel guide brand of choice) so I’m looking at the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet ones out of the library first before I decide which one to go for.
* make up bag, a present from Dave. I requested a smallish waterproof one that was still cute and he delivered!
* pie pod
* burts’s bees cuticle and nail cream
* keys
* a used train ticket (Leicester to Edinburgh via Newark of all places!)
* wallet
* paracetamol
* neutrogena lip balm
* some recipes for veggie pies and bakes I had printed out at work (no printer at home) We made butternut squash and leek and will be making another one tonight.
* library book which I’m reading for a book group. Highly recommended!
* phone
* card from the dentist reminding me to make an appointment.

    I like these kinds of posts, I can rifle through people's belongings without the creep factor. I'm from Montreal, I adore my city. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions! And I really loved your post on competition in the blogosphere. Very happy I found your blog! 🙂

    I lust after your beautiful brown bag. And I have similar print outs of recipes in mine! (it's all much messier).
    I'll be in Montreal in the spring too. I hear it's cold! I'll be there for an academic conference. I hope you enjoy your trip!

    Ooh it's always so interesting to see what's in other girl's bags 🙂

    I love your cute little make up bag!

    I love these posts for the same reason I love 'fly on the wall' documentaries and people watching!

    This is weirdly similar to what I carry day to day, down to the Burt's Bees and Eastpak wallet! Also, my word verification is 'croch'. Blogger, are you trying to tell me something?

    That is one beautiful bag. And its contents are charming. What made me smile? The makeup bag, recipes (mmmm) and novel:) Thanks for your comment – I never knew the Scottish felt that way about kilts – thanks for the warning;) xo

    Pretty bag my dear! I also love fellow bloggers who carry books in their bags 🙂 🙂

    Thank you for posting!
    I love the orla kiely kiely fabric in the background. It made me squee a little.

    The older map is awesome too. We got an older map of our city from someone when we first moved here and it was hilarious because the city was in the flux of a giant re-roading and a ton of streets were gone and there were new ones in their place and it took us a week before we realized we weren't reading the map wrong

    WOW Franca, your purse contents seem to be so organized.
    I did this for Hillary too and have to admit that hald of my contents were mere trash 🙁
