I found a bag to go with my Friday wedding dress! I bought this ages and ages ago, at the beginning of October to be precise, at Circa Vintage, a lovely vintage shop in Glasgow, with a very friendly and chatty owner!
I had vague intentions to photograph this bag in a special way, maybe outside with some holly and a retro-style finish (that still makes sense in my head, but sounds a bit weird written down), but there’s less and less light and more and more rain now, and spring is so long away still that I couldn’t wait. So just straight on-the-living-room-floor photos it is.
Anyway, I better tell you about this bag then! It is from the 1930s, with the most beautiful beaded embroidery. Because it is so old, it’s quite delicate and I’m a little worried about overloading it. Though it is so small that I couldn’t fit anything very much in it even if I tried. it’s such a dinky thing, the strap for holding it fits just a couple of fingers, not a wrist. I’ll probably just stick in a lipstick and a pocket mirror. It’s really more decoration and something pretty to hold onto in the photos!
