Outfit 15.12.10: red and black and some sparkle!

15.10.11: black and red and a wee bit of silver

This is what I wore for my Christmas work lunch yesterday, though the photo was actually taken on Saturday. Pre-photographing: how organised am I?

I bought this vintage dress recently, in my first charity shop trip in literally months. Though to be honest, it wasn’t much of a trip, I only went to the one place. Salvation Army has opened a few shops around Edinburgh in the last year after years of there being only two, the most recent one is on my way to the other office I sometimes work in. Despite being in a slightly shady area, it is actually really really nice, with great stock, though again no changing rooms. I don’t know what Sally Army’s objection to changing rooms is. All it takes is a metre square of space and a shower curtain! Anyway, I got this little sparkly dress and another more summery one which I hope to show you soon!

Today is my last day of work until 2011 – I am so excited! Christmas here we come!

vintage dress – charity shop
necklace – primark
shoes – camper

    Rot/Schwarz ist sowieso meine Farbkombi!
Und du Glückliche, ich werde wohl noch ein paar Nachtschichten einlegen und hoffen dass ich am Montag ein OK für meine Diplomarbeit bekomme.

    LOVE that frock!!
How odd that the Sallies don't have changing rooms?Maybe junkies use them for their business?! They certainly have changing rooms here!
Yay for holidays-mine start next week………:)

Yeah, what the heck is the deal w the lack of dressing rooms?! I have that problem in Chicago a lot, too.

That dress is really lovely and perfect for a holiday lunch. I like how you've made it a bit funky and edgy w the boots and tights.

PS- Have I mentioned that I love Scotland? Lived in Glasgow for a year and think often of going back.

Yeay for the last day of work for the year. This dress is super cute, and even better with the red accents.
I have no idea what Salvo's doesn't want its customers to have a shred of dignity while shopping. It seems to be universal though.

    thanks all.

re changing rooms – all the charity shops have changing rooms here, so it is very unusual that all the SA ones don't. Though in one of the two original ones the staff will let you change in the back room if you ask nicely.

and I never realised that Salvos was Salvation Army! I thought that was a different chain!
