More photos of snowy Luxembourg. We built a snowcat! There were deer tracks all over the garden! This is quite exciting, because the village is very surburban in nature, and the forest is a fair bit away, and deers are not a usual thing and have never been sighted before this winter. Sadly, we never actually saw them in the garden, though I did see one elsewhere in the village.

The panorama was made with this software called autostitch, which is pretty snazzy. You just put in loads of photos that you want to stitch together, in this case I had about ten, and it merges them together. It did shorten it a bit too much in the middle, but it’s better than anything I could have managed manually. Here’s what it looked like before I cropped the uneven edges off.

Lovely snow photos. No snow we I live, so yours will have to do.
Is autostich like photobucket type of things????

I love your snow cat! I think I want some more snow so I can make one, too. We had heavy snow on Friday but it had all gone by Saturday morning, boo!
Great little gadget that Autostitch, I'll have to have a go. Thanks for the recommendation. xxx

That is so cool! I used to build snowcats when I was a kid… and I will, at some point, post a panorama picture that has me in it three times 🙂

    Cheers,

Its cute, isn't it? it was huge! I'd be happy if it doesn't snow again, in the city it all turns to ice within 2 hours.

I wouldn't mind a bit of Spanish warmth myself!

Autostitch is just a programme you can download, it's not affiliated to anything else.

oooh, clone pictures, I used to make them all the time! Can't wait to see yours!

Ooh I love that fourth pic – that would be beautiful framed on the wall. Lovely. Thanks for the heads up on autostitch – will definitely give it a go with some pics I took on the coast over new years and also totally want to do a clone shot too – how FUN! Sarah xxx

    What a lovely snow-cat!!

Those deer tracks are delightful too … I hope they pay you a (more visible) return visit soon!

Love your snow cat. Very Sphinx-like.

It was very sphinx-like! huge too, I should have put myself in the picture
    for scale.

  • oranges_and_apples 28 January 2011, 8:14 am

I'm sure my mum will let me know as soon as that happens and my dad will
    take photos!

We were going to make a snow farm actually! the next thing planned was a
duck, but then it just kept snowing and the new snow was too powdery to do
    anything with.
