Outfit 2.1.11: patchwork print dress

2.1.11; fashion, clothes, style, outfit, thrift, thrifted, blogger, blog, creative, colour, color, charity shop, quirky, individual, dress, 1950s, 1980s, 1970s, circle skirt, patchwork

I wore this to go to a chilled new year’s party. I don’t see to have much luck with photographing this dress, I left it too late again, so this was taken as the sun was setting. This was literally the only photo of the 15 I took that was even vaguely in focus! I don’t like me facial expression, but I do love this dress, so decided to post it.

Incidentally, this is my 500th Wardrobe Remix photo! Woo!

dress – vintage shop
top under – h&m
boots – clarks
bangles – cheap import shop

Such a cute dress! I especially love the "I like you America" pieces. Hilarious.

And congrats on 500 wardrobe remix posts!

Really love your dress! Stylish and bright but warm and cosy too – perfect for New Year's Eve!

Exactly! Whoever came up with it was clearly un-American. It's mandatory to have strong feelings, one way or another. You can't be wishy-washy about something like America! 😉

    Seriously fantastic dress! 😀 x

That dress is super duper, but which vintage shop? Armstrongs? Congratulations on 500 wardrobe remixes! I'm up to about 80, I think. Paltry.

How could you NOT like that dress. It's stellar!

Love the print on your dress and I love your boots. I haven't posted on wardrobe remix for ages, thanks for the reminder!

That sounds like so many of my outfit posts! So many times I've loaded them up on the laptop and wondered why I did not have the patience for more or the organisation to do them earlier in the day!
Your colourful outfits and always such a cheerful sight 🙂

The fluttery fun sleeves are my favorite part of this all-around fantastic dress! I love how you've layered it to transition it from a summery look to a more wintery look! And congrats on the 500th W-R photo! That's remarkable!

What an adorable dress! I love how you paired it with the top and the boots. And those bracelets- perfect addition!

  • oranges_and_apples 28 January 2011, 8:13 am

Thank you! It's hardly ever warm enough here for summer dresses on their own
(maybe a couple of months a year), so I'm a dab hand at winterising (and
    springerising and autumnising 😉 )

  • oranges_and_apples 28 January 2011, 8:13 am

    And mine! bright = good!

  • oranges_and_apples 28 January 2011, 8:13 am

And I just remembered I haven't actually posted this outfit to the WR group!

It's funny, isn't it? I would really like to know where the print came from.
It's not very American to only like and not love America!
