In other news, it appears that today is Valentine’s day. Which we are ignoring. I’m not the most romantic person anyway, but particularly not when the world tells me I have to be. I’m into love, not romance. I think this year has actually been better than usual, less commercialised crap pushed on you. Maybe its the recession, I don’t know. Or maybe I just go out less.

But if you are the romantic type, enjoy yourselves tonight!

Aack! My internet was down during prime commenting time! Wow, those shoes! THOSE SHOES!!! Your bag is so original and funky, nice tie-in with the scarf:)

Your shoes are so fun and quirky but they also look really comfortable which is a definite plus! It isn't often a shoe can encompass all three! Alexandra Thérèse xx

I love the green scarf in the first picture. The yellow tights and shirt work so beautifully together too.
I am not into Valentine's Day at all, although I like love and I think my partner is romantic. He hates holidays so it works out well.

Love both you outfits, but my favourite in the one with the polkadot skirt. fantastic!!!
Love you cat in the first pic.

  • Fashionforgiants 14 February 2011, 8:54 pm

Oh, I love that People Tree skirt – and I love that you paired it with yellow-orange – it looks fantastic.

I saw Black Swan this weekend too. And, yes, it was, interesting… And confusing. I was very confused.

I'd love to hear what you have to say about the BLACK SWAN, I have read really good reviews and am looking forward to seeing it but it's not in theatres here yet…..
BTW both looks are fabulous !!!
Your use of color is inspiring 🙂

The yellow tights and green shoes are a killer combination and I am in love with your scarf. I want the scarf to be my valentine (never mind what my other half might think about that). 😉
I am not big on valentine's day either. Luckily the husband and I are both quite happy just taking the piss out of it and feeling romantic about our unanimous lack of romance 😀

  • Emma Clark 14 February 2011, 11:32 pm

Hooray for all the colour in your looks.

I'm not sure how you go so far ahead so quickly. Two outfits in one day? I feel like I'm behind now 🙂

I actually love how low key valentines day is this year, my boyfriend and I celebrated yesterday just to show how much we care 🙂

Did you like Black Swan?! I made sure to not know anything about it, and was totally floored about how different it was than I thought it would be!

  • Terri 15 February 2011, 4:04 am

Like both looks, but especially the second. Those shoes are so versatile.

  • Jane 15 February 2011, 8:48 am

    Fab colours.

  • Veshoevius 15 February 2011, 9:28 am

I like the yellow top, spotty skirt, yellow tights combo and I spy that even your bedroom has a burst of citrusy colour with lime bedding! That is dedication to the cause!

  • La Historiadora de Moda 15 February 2011, 2:05 pm

I absolutely love the scarf and shoes together in the first outfit!

  • two birds 15 February 2011, 4:14 pm

that green scarf is beautiful! i love how you styled it!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

    thanks Jane!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

Thank you Fabienne! The shoes are definite faves!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

They are pretty comfortable. Not completely, because I am useless with
    heels, but close enough!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

he's cute isn't he, ginger cat! and thank you!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

    Thank you!

i did really like it, but it was a bit weird how you didn't know if anything
was real. like her mum being so obsessive and controlling – that may have
just been in nina's head because she thought her mum was jealous of her
success. My friend said she couldn't decide if it was really clever or
really silly, and i kind of agree with that!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

the scarf is very lovely indeed, its wool as well so super warm! But you
    can't have it, it's MINE! 😉

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:26 am

It's actually our anniversary on the 14 jan, so we always do something big
for that and that covers off valentine's day!

I did like it, a lot. Except the bit that was like a horror film in the
middle, when Beth stabs herself and then appears as a ghost everywhere. But
apart from that, it was great. I especially liked the last 20 minutes. The
other thing was weird was the director's obsession with sex. I mean
obviously if you don't eat anything and exercise 12 hours a day, you're not
gonna have much interest in it, or time for any sort of relationship!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:26 am

haha, yes! I do love colour and put it wherever I can in my life! Our other
sheets are even more colourful – you'll see when I post the pics from the
