Capsule wardrobe Challenge days 8 and 9

I was initially attempting to post all my Capsule Wardrobe Challenge outfits in this week, but now I ended up with 12 outfits and I just really wanted a wee break over the weekend to catch up on Feminist Fashion Bloggers admin. Plus I figured you all are probably sick of outfit posts by now! So I’m letting the posts carry over into next week and I will do the roundup once everything’s posted.

This was a back to basics outfit – only two items! I had intended to wear the tunic with the blue skirt, but as i was getting dressed, I realised that the tunic is actually just about long enough to wear as a dress. At least on a weekend day!

vintage tunic – vintage shop
shoes – el naturalista

Capsule wardrobe day 9

Here I am wearing the dress as a skirt. I had intended to put the belt that comes with the dress on top of the jumper, but the jumper was rolling itself up a bit already, and the belt encouraged this tendency.

And for Laura-poet, hope this is winning you over to white tights a little!

dress (as skirt) – people tree
top – zara
shoes – el naturalista
brooch – gift

Ah! I love the tunic with the turquoise tights and the green shoes – such gorgeous colours!

Oh, sure. Great outfit… I appreciate white tights on others, I'm just reluctant to wear them myself. I don't even really know why. The fear of pale legs, or something?

I love both outfits, but the tunic one: playing with blues and green is fantastic.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday my dear Franca

Great mix of items in your capsule! I really like the turquoise and green mixed together in the top outfit, in particular. Those green shoes are fantastic.

Franca–I have been in search of a red dress and thanks to the one you pictured several days ago, I have found it, but oh my, what a lot of ironing I have to do!

I am looking at your pictures and really like how you sport the mary-jane style shoes.
When I wear them I feel they cut me off but on you- they look perfect.

The outfits have been really fun!

I have a pair of white tights that I never got around to wearing. I'm regretting that decision!

I love your outfits with blue and green, they make me happy. 🙂

I can't believe you're still going. Good on you girl. And that tunic is definitely long enough – in my book, if it's past your fingertips it's OK.

I love your colorful outfits–and that Orla Kiely bedspread! Swoon.

    thank you!

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

cool. I don't mind a bit of paleness at all, I think it looks nice to me! I
think white tights really make colours pop – though they do get mucky

  • oranges_and_apples 10 October 2011, 7:25 am

    thank you!
