Fashion/feminism icons roundup

I just wanted to write a separate post today about all the fantastic women everyone in the Feminist Fashion Bloggers community wrote about on Wednesday. I really felt like making a wee collage today and being all gushy, since that was the first group post! It was such a wide array of choices, fashion designers, musicians, actresses, inventors, writers, academics, politicians, photographers, artists, fictional archaeologists, there was really a bit of everything. I discovered so many new people and I learnt what a trope inversion is!

Here’s the list of all the posts. Happy weekend reading!

Björk – Oranges and Apples

Christine Lagarde– Rags Against the Machine

Cindy Sherman – Mrs Bossa Does the Do

Claude Cahun – Cervixosaurus

Diane Von Furstenberg – For Those About to Shop

Elizabeth Smith Miller – Techie Style

Ellen Page – SK{ru}SH

Frida Kahlo – La Historiadora de Moda from Fashionable Academics

Gloria Trevi – Feministified

Grandmother – The House in the Clouds

Griselda Pollock – Magic Square Foundation

Hedy Lamarr – Adventures in Refashioning

Marjane Satrapi – Jean of all Trades

I have been all week in Málaga( Costa del Sol) with my family, so I have been very disconnected. I will try and catch up with all the blog through the weekend.
Mil besos my dear franca.

Good work, buddy! This highlights perfectly what an incredible array of women the group wrote about. I'm so glad it's such a success – I've discovered a whole new batch of icons and a whole new batch of talented bloggers… :) x

Man, I wish I had known about this! I would have done something. Alas, not having internet at home makes for many scheduled posts and little browsing time. Great compilation of fantastic females.
