flowery tunic and jeans

* tunic, jeans – charity shop * top under – zara * sandals – camper * bag – the leather store * sunnies – topshop *

I got this tunic a wee while ago (I showed you it in charity shop finds, see?) and I’ve worn it a fair bit, but never photographed it. So here it is now, in a last outfit post sneaked in before the wedding and honeymoon break (of which more at the beginning of next week).

I really love these jeans. I found them in a charity shop a few years ago, they’re Gap, a sort of 50s style that was advertised in the early 2000s. They’ve got a little buckle at the back. They were the first pair of skinny jeans I owned. Does anyone remember what that range was called? I would be keen to see if I can track another pair down on ebay.

These are the first pictures taken with the 50mm 1.8 lense. It is quite weird not being able to zoom in, but I’ll get used to it, it’s not actually any harder to just move the tripod. It’s worth it for the lightness. Though there are some tiny slr cameras! We met with our wedding photographer the other day, and his was so small, the size of a slightly bigger point and shoot. Dave actually thought it was a lomography camera. Anyway, I digress. I am very impressed with the flower photos!

Have a great weekend everyone!

    I love this look!  It's so stinking hot here in MN right now that the thought of wearing so many layers is kind of dreadful BUT you look awesome and it makes me want fall to get here even more!  I LOVE that you thrifted that top, I'm just sad that means I can't find it somewhere and get it for myself!

    I covet those red Camper sandals every time I see them and your SLR photos look really great!

    Hi Franca – what setting are you using on your camera?  If you want a blurry background in your full-body shots, put it on the aperture setting and then adjust the aperture all the way down to 1.8.  Since you tend to shoot in the shade, that shouldn't blow out your photos…but if you find they are too light, try adjusting the exposure compensation.  I love my similar lens!

    The flower photos are precious as is that tunic. I love the pairing of colors- the indigo undershirt and those sandals! LOVING those sandals.
    Hmmm..if I don't talk to you before your wedding, let me just wish you a most glorious wedding day. I know you've planned long and hard for it- here's to your blessed nuptials and a day full of great memories. Best wishes, blushing bride! xo. Bella Q

    Those pictures were all taken with the 1.8 aperture! Nice to hear from you by the way Kasmira! I miss my WE days sometimes!

    I love this tunic over jeans.  The colors are just perfect – especially paired with the gorgeous flower photos.  I can't believe how cool and green it looks there.  Even Oregon is finally starting to show a little dryness from the summer.

    I love seeing these 1.8 fixed 50 shots! I've been thinking of getting that lens for my Nikon, but have been stalling — trying to figure out if it's worth the extra $150 to buy the 1.4. I think not, after seeing how beautiful your photos are. The lens has such a great depth of field!
    I love the perforated accents on your red shoes! Very dainty and darling!
