Muted colours (shocking!)

I don’t always wear bright colours! And even the background is more muted than usual. This is the lane that has the light blue and the green doors in front of which I’ve been taking pictures recently.

I’m getting more and more comfortable with the posing in front of people too. I actually spoke to a mad that was just leaving his workplace in that lane *while posing*. Then later on, after I’d finished with the tripod, three people walked through and saw me take pictures of the buildings and the power lines and I was FINE. Success!

The power lines pictures were meant to be a bit like in the film Control. didn’t work, sadly. Have people seen that film? Good, intit? It reminded me that I like Sam Riley, I should put Brighton Rock on the Love Film!

I really like this outfit.  Great color palette and such a soft, feminine style.  You look so pretty.

I love the colours, what a pretty outfit. When I was at uni in Leicester I lived in a terraced house in a street of terraced houses in a whole area of terraced houses and I always used to stroll through moodily, thinking of Control 😉

I like the muted colors and pictures from that lane.  But really wanted to say thanks for reminding me about Joy Division.  Off to download a few of their tunes now…

I love these colours on you, perfect for the slightly less than fantastic weather we have been having lately. I still get so nervous trying to take outfit photos, I was down by the water of Leith yesterday in one of my usual spots and there were some teenagers getting drunk, they were really nice but I just did not feel comfortable enough to keep going with them there. Love that necklace xo

I wouldn't with teenagers either, they can be so unpredictable! Not sure I'd react very well to a group of kids taking the piss!

Lovely ensemble Franca – I think the blue of the shirt contrasts really well with the brown of the leather. The bag is beautiful, as is the necklace!

I really like that purse! I can't stand having people nearby if I'm being photographed, which is rather difficult in a large city in a busy neighborhood!

I love the softer colors of this outfit. You're just stellar at putting together lovely combinations. 🙂

Franca – are you feeling okay? You seem a little blue 😉

    Love these photos! Gorgeous compositions.

Oh my goodness, that bag is amazing! Gorgeous. I love how these pictures came out too. Your muted outfit works beautifully with the editing you did. Very pretty!

  • Jeanofalltrades 16 August 2011, 6:09 am

It is muted compared to what I see on you other times, but your outfit is so calm and inviting. The colors are beautiful. I'm loving your photography too – especially the compass, but also all the street scenes.

I've actually seen that film and thought is was great! Excited to have seen a film that 1. Isn't a chick flick and 2. someone else has seen too!! 🙂

Love the outfit. Do love your usual brights but this is lovely 🙂 xx
