Holiday capsule wardrobe in blue, red and green

holiday packing

holiday packing

Last day of work today and we’re off down south to Dave’s mum’s tomorrow!

If you’re a long time reader, you’ll know I’m keen on colour coded capsule wardrobes and holiday packing. This time round, I decided to go for blue as the base colour, and I then added a bit of green and red. And a tiny bit of brown, because I threw out some boots at the end of last winter and now somehow I’ve ended up with my two pairs of winterproof shoes both being brown. I think I will need to get some black ones in the post-Christmas sales!

Also to day this will be my last post with writing in it until the New Year, I’m briefly turning photoblog and will be going on a ‘winter break’ where I’m showcasing photographers or photographs on a theme. I’ll still be visiting blogs every now and then, but all proper posts will be stored up until 2012.

So that just leaves me to wish you all a very happy Christmas/holiday period!

Great color scheme for the holidays. I love how it’s festive but doesn’t look like a cheesy Christmas explosion. It’s very elegant!

Coincidently, I was just goggling the red, green, blue color combination today after my kid asked me what color they make if you mix them all together. Clearly I need to brush up on my color knowledge, because I totally didn’t know they are considered the most common set of primary colors. I always thought that was red, yellow and blue.

I liked your “soccer mom dress” question – maybe I’ll do a blog post to explain in from my point of view.

    Have a great holiday!

Ohhh blue and green always tickle my fancy and throwing in red should work marvels 🙂
Have a good one Franca, and certainly the merriest of them all.

Every time I go away I try and pack around a colour…and somehow it always ends up being a completely different colour than the one I initially planned.
    Enjoy your holidays!
