This is my outfit from Christmas day when we want for a walk (more photos from that here). It was so windy! My hair was completely blown apart. I’d actually done pin curls the night before, not that you would know! They were a bit of a failure anyway, they went wavy/curly on one side of the head, but on the other they just went massive and not curly at all. Which would have been ok had it been on both sides, then I could have brushed it into a volumy bob. But it didn’t matter anyway because all the wind just made it into vague waves anyway. Also, I don’t think I’ll leave pin curls in overnight again. By about 8 at night, my roots were really very greasy!
I am wearing one of the presents from Dave, the fox necklace. It’s from Tatty Devine, and it’s so cute! It’s little head moves a bit! I also got a longer (90cm) chain off Dave’s mum, so I can swap it round. I’m also wearing Dave’s mum’s cardigan because I was always freezing. I think it was because I had a bit of a cold over the whole Christmas period, though the worst was over my the time we’d arrived in Leicester. It still couldn’t separate myself from my wooly socks which were pretty much glued onto my feet the whole entire time.
Final comment on this outfit is the shoes. I got them for my birthday in June and they’ve shaped up to be my favourite pair of shoes. They’re just so versatile. I wear them to work a lot, but they’re also really cute with more casual or unusual dresses. It’s taken me a while to get on the brogue bandwagon, but now I’m well and truly on it! I also think these will be easy to re-heel when I walk the backs of the heels off, as I have a tendency to do.
* vintage (80s?) dress- charity shop * cardie – borrowed * necklace – gift * shoes – gift (schuh brand) * wooly socks – from my mum’s extensive collection * coat – h&m *
P.s. Since this is (partially) about my fave shoes I am submitting it to a soe link-up thingy here.
