This is the Labour of Love top I picked for my review of FarFetch.com in action! I really love it! It’s absolutely perfect for my shape with puffy shoulders AND a super-defined waist. I love that it’s both Victorian looking and totally modern! I am also quite enamoured with the hidden buttons at the front. Colour and pattern wise it’s not what I usually go for, but I am glad Dave persuaded me to pick this over my other choice, a graphic eighties looking tshirt dress, because I can wear this to work. It’s definitely coming to Brussels with me!

The pictures are from way before Christmas, the morning after my work Christmas lunch, which was quite a drunken affair. I was deathly hungover in the morning, but because I’d managed to actually get myself into bed by midnight, I perked up after lunch and managed to get myself dressed properly. I even dragged Dave out for a walk in the freezing cold with me, and he’d been in a lock in the night before (though I didn’t know that til much later. I’ve never been in a lock in!). I didn’t stretch to washing my hair, but I look alright don’t I.

Outfit stats:
* top – Labour of Love c/o farfetch.com * skirt – h&m * boots – random German department store * coat – found in the street * earrings – gift * bag – gift * ring – found in the street *

    I have a nice wool coat that my brother found by a dumpster and gave to me, but its not nearly as cool as the one you found in the street – that’s a pretty sweet coat!

      It’s missing a couple of buttons, but nothing wrong with it otherwise! I found it in an overflowing bin, I really have no idea why they didn’t just donate it!

      Aren’t they! It’s a random little park that I didn’t even know existed for ages.

    That top looks great on you! It’s the kind of thing I’d be worried about not knowing how to style and I’d end up wearing it boringly with jeans, but it looks great with that skirt. The poof factor, shape, and neutral colour scheme are all perfectly matched. Much better than an 80s t-shirt!

      The tshirt dress was pretty cool as well, but this is definitely more practical. It actually goes with more things than you’d think!

    It’s very cute! Kind of a jaunty Jane Eyre look about it – love the location in these photos – great pics!

    LOVE the top! Its quite lovely on you and i Love the mix of fabrics.
    As an aside. Farfetch asked me to do a review as well. It has been over a month the item hasn’t arrived and they aren’t getting back to me. grrrr.

    • Franca 10 January 2012, 9:04 pm

      Really? They were really good with me. I’ve never done sponsored stuff in the past and a lot of that was to do with the uselessness of PRs. They’re usually so vague and take ages to get back to me (or they don’t get back at all) that I just can’t be bothered. Or, and this happens *all the time*, they don’t look properly and think I’m in the US, and then retract everything when they work out I’m in the UK. It makes me furious! Anyway, I thought the agency that represented farfetch were really good at keeping in touch, how annoying they’re crap with you. Hope you get your thing soon!

    The blouse is a great fit. As I studied these photos, I was wondering why you looked so grown up to me…and I finally decided it was the earrings!
