These pictures are from Talent House East Midlands, the pop up shop in Leicester where I bought the SMWalker neckpiece. It was the first time I ever identified myself as a blogger to anyone in person, though somewhat inadvertedly! I asked the assistant who the person making all the looped leather bits was (with the intention of then emailing them) but it turns out it was Stephanie herself, since she’s also the co-owner of the shop. We got talking and I ended up taking some pictures of the shop. I think I’ll be braver in making myself known as a blogger in future!

Anyway, THEM was originally intended to last just until Christmas, but it’s been going so well for them they’re just extended their lease for another six months. And I’m not surprised it’s done well, they stock a great mix of stuff from crafters and independent designers at all price points, including jewellery, art (I think the other owner is a visual artist), accessories and clothes. There’s not really anywehere else in Leicester like that (that I’m aware of), so it definitely fills a gap!

You can visit them on their website, which also has an online shop – though that’s got hardly anything in it just now. There’s a facebook page too. And if anyone goes, say hi from me!

Google Friend Connect is being discontinued on non-Blogger blogs from March. You can still follow me via reader, facebook, email and bloglovin.

Thank you for sharing these pics – what incredible designs – the leather neckpieces are really fabulous – & so great that you got to chat with the actual designer- & have already one of her pieces – I guess she loved getting your feedback. I am drawn most to the feather earrings ….

What a great idea – I had not heard of a pop up shop before, and I think the name is really cool. Like Vix, I am drooling over the leather neck pieces. Thankyou for sharing the photos showing the amazing work.
