A couple of weekends ago, I went back to Edinburgh on a flying weekend visit. On the Saturday night we went for what was meant to be cocktails, but in the end ended up being just loads of South African cider because my preferred cocktail bar had sadly closed down and all the other cocktail places were incredibly busy for some reason. Anyway, that explains the comparative dressed-up-ness!
That dress really is short, for me anyway. When I’ve worn it before, I wore it with black tights which sort of neutralised the shortness a little bit, but this time I thought screw it and went for some new minty green tights instead, which I think goes beautifully with the colours of the dress, but of course does draw extra attention to my mega chunky thighs (really, Rebekah, you have got nothing on me in the thunder thights department). But I felt ok about them actually! The thing that probably bothered me most was that the tights were just a little big because I’d gone for the L over the M after a few experiences with some too small ones recently. You never know in advance with tights do you!
The photos were taken on Calton Hill, in the magical golden hour before sunset. They look so nice, don’t they? I think they may actually be my favourite outfit photos ever, even the blurry dark jumpy one. And in case you’re wondering why I am pointing at the little black grafitti, I’m not. There was a bit of air that you could see vibrate, like what happens when it’s really hot. I have no idea why that happened!
