Photos from another trip back to Edinburgh. Dave and I went for lunch in Castle Terrace, a posh restaurant that just gained it’s Michelin star (after we booked it). It’s run by the same people as the Kitchin, where we’ve been to a few times. The interior is not quite as nice (it’s a bigger, squarer space) but the food was the same type of thing and equally as divine!
I decided to wear the same dress as I did the first time we went to the Kitchin. It’s weird seeing an outfit so similar, it really makes you notice the passing of time. I look older and spottier, but my photography is better! In actual fact I’m not sure I’d worn this dress since. It’s a funny mix of dressy but plain, it’s too shiny to wear to work, and not ‘going outy’ enough to wear for nights out or parties. But it’s perfect for a Michelin starred lunch!
Dave too a leaf out of our wedding photographer’s book and thought it was brilliant if I climbed up the hill by the back of the Castle. Which was somewhat perilous given that it had been raining so was muddy and in those boots, especially the getting down part. And ooking myself on with the umbrella didn’t really (at all!) help. I’ve actually decided to donate those boots, they’re nice and make me feel tall but are really uncomfortable for walking. I’ve had them for years and years, somebody else can have a shot at them.
The streetart is near our flat, it’s fab, isn’t it? So big – Dave for scale. It’s made from paper so I don’t think it will last much longer.
Outfit stats: * dress – vintage shop * brooch – my friend Emily’s now empty etsy shop lost in the forest * bag – tula * boots – random German department store * coat – h&m * brolly – gift *
