A little deviation from the usual from the Monday – Wednesday – Friday posting schedule, because today is Everybody, Everywear day. The theme this month is colour blocking, which is the one theme I can do without any notice at all, because I’m always colour blocking. It’s a way of life for me! This is not actually that great an example, because there’s only two colours really, but it’s what I’ve got just now.
The cardigan is new, from a posh maternity shop, on rue Danseart, a street full of little independent designer shops in the Flemish part of Brussels. That street is a bit like what I imagined Antwerp to be like. I really love the colour (oddly, I’ve never owned anything mustard before) and the triangle texture of this cardie, and I think it will be totally wearable when I’m bump free too. Unfortunatley I had to take the cardigan back to the shop yesterday though, because one of the seams went into holes in three places after just four wears and no washes. They reassured me that no one else has ever returned this model with this problem before, so it maybe was just a one off. So they’ve ordered me an identical one from their shop in Ghent, which I can pick up on Saturday. I will wear it every day straight to put it to the test. Fingers crossed it’s not a general problem with those cardigans, because I do think it looks great, and it’s comfy.
In bump watch news, this is week 17. I had a big growth spurt in week 13-14 just after I told everyone, but it doesn’t seem to have grown much since. Though I guess it has, because I was sitting watching the telly with my trouser button undone last night. I bought some maternity jeans but trying to hold off putting them on for as long as I can. I’ll be bored of them soon enough!
Outfit stats: cardigan – posh maternity shop * tshirt dress – I dyed it blue, originally american apparel * boots – camper, my first ever camper boots (2003?) * brooch – craft market *

I had a belly growth spurt around the same times! I’m on week 25 now and I just had a huge one over the last few weeks. <3

i too was travelling, congratulations, you are adorable with your bump!
Oh congrats on the pregnancy! I wander over to your blog from time to time and I am glad to have come back soon enough to read what is a fairly new announcement! Great colours – you do always colour block so well.
There was a really good turnout for EBEW this time. I was so excited to see your “bump”. And you’re right about wearing maternity items AFTER the baby arrives. I wore mine for several years after. Love the boots and the brooch.
Love the cardigan on you. It is such a versatile colour.

But, If all else fails, you could always knit yourself the Traveling Woman cardi on Rav
I always thought of that cardi as one that would be perfect for both pregnant and post pregnant because of it’s construction.
The itty bitty bump is cute!

I love the colour mustard, such a shame about the holes in the cardigan, it looks so lovely on. Hope they get you a lovely new one that lasts longer.
