This is from the weekend I went back to Scotland for my scan. I had really been looking forward to some June fun outside, but the weather was atrocious. Like November, cold and constant rain. I had planned this outfit around the new shoes which I bought myself as a birthday present, but with all the rain I thought I’d better stick with something more closed and less susceptible to being destroyed by mud.
Though I did get to wear them a little on the Thursday when it wasn’t raining, and initial impressions are positive. I takes a bit to getting used to walking in the completely inflexible wooden soles, but despite them having the words high heeled in the name, they’re really very walkable even for a flats aficionado like me. I haven’t taken them to Belgium with me, but I look forward to wearing them for a while when I get back in August.
I’m 13 weeks at this point by the way, and this is the last outfit photo where I don’t look visibly pregnant. By now (week 15) I have a little bump and most of my clothes don’t fit me any more. I really hope I can fit back into everything afterwards!
Outfit stats:
* cardigan – used to be my granny’s * blue top – free with a magazine * green top – charity shop * skirt – zara * shoe – el naturalista * handmade bag – gift * moomin brooches – gift * scarf – swap * brolly – gift *

I must have missed the fact you were pregnant– congratulations.
Your outfit looks marvelous– so colorful! I’m sorry the weather wasn’t nice to you, but you rocked the umbrella well!

Well, I love a good colourful outfit in the rain, and that mural is beyond perfect as a backdrop (I also like the shot with the terrace houses though). Poor Scotland and its sorry excuse for a summer though; I remember when I lived there it was constantly dreary, and my friend did say there were only two seasons: Winter and the 15th of August!

I adore how you match that backdrop, and that parasol is just such a fun shape. I wish I could be brave and wear such bright colors together like this–one day!
