The last photos from Dave’s final Brussels trip. That day we mopped up all the things I’d been meaning to do for a while. First, we had a look at the Palais Stoclet, an art deco (actually, Vienna Secession, but unless you’re an architecture historian, art deco will do!) mansion that is still privately owned. Imagine living in there!

Then we took the tram through an area full of ginormous houses to the edge of the forest that surrounds the southern side of the city, and walked for a little while. We saw a very photogenic chipmunk, which neither of us had seen in the wild before. We ended up at abbaye rouge (red cloister), a ruin of an old monastery with some stable buildings, gardens and a couple of lakes.

Finally we walked through a park near my flat, where there was a public picnic going on as part of the brusselicious food festival. They’d also brought together all the food-themed sculptures that had been dotted around the city before. There are five designs of each of which there were several version: a chip cone, a mussel, a brussel sprout, a chocolate bar and a beer glass. This brussel sprout being delivered by the stork was my favourite.

Outfit stats:
* cardie – posh maternity shop * tshirt – I dyed it red * necklace – gift * trousers – mango * sandals – camper * bag – scaramanga, gift * sunnies – topshop *

The bump is week 16.

I’ve been through Belgium but never visited any of the cities. I’d love to visit Brussels, and Bruges.

Great photos! I love that saffron/curryish color of your sweater together with the coral top. Great combination. And I had to laugh because the area around my house is absolutely swarming with chipmunks. I would be more than happy to send some your way! But they are cute little pests……

I love the colour of the cardigan you are wearing, especially with the blue trousers!

I had never seen chipmunks before I moved to the US, and I still shriek when I see them (almost every day). They are just so adorable!

The bump is looking fetching in the blue pants. And I wondered if that was a stork I saw.

I am totally lusting after the fox pendant- and you look lovely in these colors. Whenever I see the name Franca, i automatically think of color :) It’s your trademark.
