All the way back in April, I went to the royal greenhouses in Brussels. They are in the grounds of the palace on the edge of the city where the king actually lives (there’s also a public royal palace in the the centre) and they only open to visitors for six weeks a year. This was the evening time slot, hence the dusk lighting.

The reason I never shared the pictures at the time was that I felt really ill that night (this was before I even knew I was pregnant, though in retrospect it’s glaringly obvious) and even looking at the photos made me feel slightly nauseous again. I’m glad I didn’t just delete the photos though, now that I’ve sorted through them I have managed to break the association a little bit.
