First, the clothes! This is a new dress. It’s from People Tree and it’s made out of a recycled sari. When you order it you have no idea what it’ll look like, you just pick either a blue or a red one and then it’s a surprise. I got the size 14 to fit bumpy and it’s huge! which is good in a way because I can definitely wear it all the way til the end, but I’m not sure what it’ll look like after, it might be a bit big. I got a stripy long sleeve tee at the same time, also in a 14, which fits quite snuggly and definitely not like a size up. Other long sleeve tees I have from PT are massive in a size 12. They sizing is so random, I love PT, but I wish they would sort it out!
I wore this to go to the Gardener’s Cottage, a new restaurant about two minutes from our flat. It’s in a small building in a park, that’s been empty for as long as we’ve lived there, but it’s recently opened as a restaurant. It’s a tiny place, with a communal set up (there are only three tables, seating 10-12 people each) that feels a bit like a dinner party. The small seasonal menu changes daily and uses lots of fresh herbs from the garden. The icecream in the photo was Meadowsweet flavour, which apparently is a plant that looks like elderflower, but tastes like honey. Yum!
