Happy Christmas Eve

Christmas land

Happy Christmas everyone!

I know for most of you it’s not really Christmas til tomorrow, and tonight a night for going to the pub, or traveling home, but in Luxembourg/Germany the main event is Christmas Eve, once it gets dark, you light the candles on the Christmas tree (we always had real candles when I was a child), have dinner and open the presents. Much preferable to getting up at the crack of dawn on Christmas day cos the kids want to get into their presents, in my opinion, so I intend to continue this tradition in our own little household now that there’s three of us.

The picture is our fireplace, which I have randomly called ‘Christmas land’. We’ve been getting loads of Christmas and baby cards and Dave was putting them up all mixed up, but I told him off saying that the Christmas ones have to go into Christmas land. And that stuck.

What a lovely idea. Now my kids are older I may introduce that idea.
    Merry Christmas to you all.

I love hearing about different Christmas traditions, my French boyfriend thinks it is really weird that my family don’t do anything special on Christmas Eve, but all our celebrations are tomorrow. Anyway, hope you have an absolutely amazing Christmas xo
