Layers and teddy bear Milo

bear suit
crossed legs
layers 2

Another spare room outfit picture. I really wanted to show the teddy bear suit! I usually put it on him when he’s in the baby bjorn because it’s less bulky than other outside layers. And people everywhere love it and comment on it. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get pictures from the front, though you do get lots of silly ones making faces at him in attempt to distract him.

The trousers are my second maternity pair. They’re going in storage now though, the stretchy stomach band keeps sliding down. I am in the annoying situation where my maternity clothes are now too big, but I can’t fit into my pre-preggers trousers yet. Even more annoyingly, my weight loss has now stalled and I’m still 4-5kg away from normal. I just want my clothes back! I’ve started doing proper exercise, so hopefully that will do the trick. Otherwise I’ll have to give up my traditional breastfeeding mum’s diet of decaf coffee and cake, and that would be a shame!

Outfit stats:
* stripy top – people tree * vest dress – charity shop * boots – clarks originals * scarf – swap *

    Lovely! I wish I could have seen his adorable face! Now I am lusting after teddy bear style outdoors suits (although I’m going to have a summer baby, so probably not necessary when we don’t know the sizing!)
    Eek- your sizing predicament sounds annoying. Did you have any luck with the Bella band? It’s a thick strip of spandex/nylon that keeps up your non-maternity pants when you’re just a few inches too big to zip them up. I’m a big fan of them right now at 23 weeks for work pants. You can DIY them, or get them pretty cheap used.

    That bear suit is precious! And I’m totally with you on the clothes thing. I’m relying heavily on leggings and elastic waist skirts to get me by until can drop the weight
