Sunday was Mother’s Day in the UK. I never usually celebrate it, though Dave does and so ‘Milo’ gave me a card (see super cute picture here) and then we pretty much did what we do every weekend when there’s nothing else on, which is to go for a walk to somewhere that serves cake. Dave is jealous of my maternity leave lifestyle of going for coffee and cake at least three times a week, and I am happy to oblige so that he gets some too. This time we went round where we live, through the Meadows and to the Grassmarket and Victoria Street, stopping off at Brewlab for cake. Then we watched the rugby and sat around in front of the fire entertaining Milo on his mat. And finished the day watching Spiral and eating curry. I love Sundays!
The photos were taken with the Diana lens, hence the blurriness. It was the weirdest weather, it went from snow to sun to hail about three times during the time we were out, and mostly the light wasn’t great and everything was a bit grey/drab. So I did edit them a bit, trying to recreate a tutorial involving blue and yellow fill layers I used a few times years ago but now can’t find again. I don’t think what I did was too close, but I’m pleased with it anyway, I didn’t want to go too far away from the orginal photos.
