After photographing my newly thrifted bits for the wartime wardrobe post, I thought I might as well give them their first wear together. I am now so glad I got that skirt, despite the unflattering length it looks great. I thought I’d submit the outfit to the style is ethical fashion competition, with the charity shopped top, the second hand shopped skirt and the handmade coat. Yeah, I’m still wearing my maternity coat, I like it so much! That and I’m not quite sure where the box with the other ones is, and that’s the lightest I’ve got out just now. If spring ever starts I’ll need to go digging in the eaves storage where all my clothes are.
One thing I’ve noticed since having Milo is that my style has become simpler. I just can’t deal with fuss, I did have a scarf on as well to start off with but I ditched it so the only adornment is the brooch. I guess once Milo starts grabbing things properly I won’t be able to wear brooches, so I better get as many in as possible before then.
