…blau blau blau ist alles was ich hab. Darum lieb ich alles was so blau ist, wiel mein Schatz ein Seemann Seemann ist.
Sorry, this is what happens when you have small, child, nursery rhymes everywhere (explanation). But this outfit is rather heavy on the blue front, it has to be said. I didn’t imagine it to look like that when I got dressed, I thought the red would pop more. Oh well, nothing wrong with a bit of monochromeness.
The dress is a new charity shop find, I only went in there to drop off some donations, but it screamed at me from the rack, what with being wrappy and jersey, i.e. I can wear it now. It’s from White Stuff and I can’t remember how much it was, £5.99 I think. I wore it with my Levi’s twisted jeans (remember them?) jacket I bought while in first year of uni! I almost got rid of it so many times, but I’m glad I held onto it! They’re not even on ebay or anything. The brooch is by my friend Julia of materialised, I won it in a giveaway.
It was a weird day the day I wore this. We were having our housewarming party, almost three months after moving in. It did mean the flat needed to be cleaned and tidied properly, and then Milo, after a wakeful night and early start, decided he wasn’t going to have a nap and instead just cry cry cry. It was the first, and thankfully so far only, time I had a mammoth teary breakdown. In the end it was ok, we did get it all done, and Dave took him for a walk so I could have a lie down and he eventually fell asleep and slept for ages, and then was in really good form being all smiley with people coming and going and dropping in for an hour all afternoon, and I had a really good time. Babies are weird!
