We went to the art college degree show the other day (well, quite a few weeks ago actually, but time flies like that). We had some money my parents had given us we wanted to spend on some art, and this year we found something: the top picture, a multicoloured line screen print combo by illustrator Caroline Halliwell. Isn’t it lovely? I love the look of lino prints and it makes me wish I was better at line drawing (and drawing in general) so I could make some myself. But I have to contend with others, which is fine too. Caroline was there when we bought it as well, which was great, always nice to chat to the artist!
It’s gone in our bedroom, which is vaguely blue greeney (and we intend to paint the walls blue at some point) I have no proper pictures yet, just this totally blurry instagram one taken on a cloudy day, but I will soon. I had initially thought of maybe hanging it over the bed, but I’m glad Dave voted for over the chest of drawers, because that means I can see it when waking up and while lying in bed, and it makes me happy!
