A few weekends ago, it was doors open day, when you can visit buildings that are usually closed rto the public. on the Saturday, we visited the old observatory on Calton Hill (which is now a holiday home), and on the Sunday, we went to see the new (currently working) observatory on Blackford Hill. It was really busy so we didn’t actually go into the main dome bit with all the instruments, but it was a lovely day to climb Blackford Hill anyway, and then we walked down the other side to Blackford Pond as well, and went home via Loopy Lorna’s cafe, where Milo ran around with a couple of other crawling babies.

I had actually planned to take photos of my Colette Violet blouse that day (you’ll see I’m wearing the exact same outfit as the one I eventually photographed) but it was too sunny and I couldn’t find a place with good light conditions.

ahhh, my sister goes to these in melbourne once a year… they are called ‘open house’ days and sound really cool, i’ve never been home for one, but maybe this year…looks like you had a fun day, man, i love your shoes… i left a bunch of shoes in hanoi and have to recollect.

Hehe, I bet thats the last time you’ll complain about too much sunshine this year 🙂

I love open days at places like this, it looks like you had a great time!
