Another gorgeous knitting creation by Dave’s mum! It’s the I heart rainbows jumper by Tin Can Knits. I remember first seeing it at the Edinburgh Yarn Fest and thinking it was amazing then! Dave’s mum made the 12-24 months size (I’m pretty sure) and it’s a little too big still. Actually, the sizing is slightly off, because it’s the right length now, but is really wide, so we’ve asked her to unravel the bottom and add an extra few centimetres of length, so it’ll be perfect when he grows a bit more.

P.S. If you don’t mind, there’s still time to nominated me for the MAD Blog awards. Dankeschoen!

Going by the many many knits my kids have received from their step-great-grandmother, I would say shortness of body in relation to width is a very common problem in baby knitting patterns. How lovely this jumper is, though, what a good thing that Dave’s mum was up for the alteration.

That is DARLING (so’s your wee tot, by the way – what a cutie!). Thank you, mother-in-law!
