Another wee thing that I knitted recently – a baby jumper for our friend’s baby girl (who you can see the back of here) for her first birthday. The pattern is the Morpheus by Yarn Madness, the same designer as the Yet to be Named baby cardigan I made for Milo when her was small (which, very confusingly is now named and called Yikes Stripes. I liked it better before!).
Anyway, the Morpheus pattern is great. What I particularly liked about it is that it’s very easy to adjust the sizing and length without having to do complicated calculations.
It isn’t the most clearly written thing in the world, mainly because all the stuff you need is in different places. For example, at one point it says to knit the rest of the row in mesh stitch, which completely baffled me until I found a wee box in a totally different part of the page that described what a mesh stitch is. But the information is all there, just in odd places.
The yarn is some Noro sock yarn I got in the sale. It’s one ball for the whole jumper (24 months size). I had been hoping to make long sleeves, but ran out. It’s probably better though, because that way baby H can wear it as a tunic until she’s big enough to fit it as a jumper.
I really want to make one for Milo now! Qill have to see what stash yarn there is!
