What I wore: Red and stripes (and ask me a question)

red and stripes

We’ve had a short lived outbreak of gorgeous weather, so look, bare legs! Isn’t it exciting? I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this was the last time that happened this year.

I haven’t worn this skirt in ages, the lining’s pretty destroyed, I had already sewn it back on about a year ago, but it’s now starting to disintegrate in another place. It’s quite sad when clothes just start breaking like that, it’s happened to me quite a lot recently, not having bought much for so long. It is really old to be fair, I think I bought it when I was in the third year of my undergrad, so 11 years ago! God, time flies!

Anway, another thing: I had a spam comment that got through the filter on my about page the other day, which made me realise that my about page is a bit rubbish! So I thought I could make it a bit more interesting by adding a Q&A section, but then what questions to ask? I know some of you haven’t been around for that long, so maybe you could help me out: what do you want to know? Or think others might want to know? It can be anything, I do quite enjoy answering silly questions as well as serious ones. If I end up writing something interesting, I might make it into a post.

So what I’m, saying is: please help me out by asking me a question! Or lots of questions!

OK, as a fellow Edinburgh resident, my question is: what is your favourite thing about living in Edinburgh? I think mine would be the architecture and general beautiful views!

It is sad when clothing dies. 🙁 But, that skirt is killer! Maybe you can resew the lining again? Great necklace too. 😀

    Hi Franca

Long time reader first time etc. Have enjoyed your blog very much over the years. I don’t know if this is the kind of question you’re thinking of but when, a few posts ago, you posted about the clothes you normally wear to the office you noted how different they were from your ‘blog’ clothes. I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts about why there is such a difference between the two styles. I totally (in the context of my own life) get the point about wanting easy, quick to assemble outfits for work – but it would still be possible to wear purple trousers and red jerseys (if you get what I mean). I think about this a lot myself. I like my work clothes to be simple and easy – but then I get BORED TO TEARS. What do you think about all this. Mary

Could you just take out the lining, if that’s where all the damage is? & wear with a slip, or make a completely new lining? Your actual request makes me laugh as I think I am very nosy but I can’t think of a single proper question. Sorry!
