What I wore: Primary colours for a night out

navy blue cos dress with yellow tights
handmade brooches
navy blue cos dress with yellow tights

Dave sister was staying on Friday night, and was kind enough to babysit so we could go out. I took that as an opportunity to get dressed up! It’s fun to do that sometimes and I’m glad to see that I do still scrub up well when I put my mind to it. Please excuse the two near identical pictures, but this is by far my favourite blog photo of myself in ages, so let me have a little vanity!

Anyway, we went for dinner to Ting Thai Caravan, sort of pop up looking (MDF walls, exposed pipes on the ceiling, basic furniture, food served in disposable cartons) street food restaurant, with communal tables and amazingly delicious thai food at great prices. After that we went to the Royal Dick bar in Summerhall where they now have tasty gin on tap from their own distillery. These guys we were speaking to were asking us if we were having a good date. I’m not sure how I feel about this! Is it a good thing to look like you are on a date 14 years into a relationship? I should point out that for me (and most british people?) a date is something you have at the beginning of a relationship, that thing where married couples have ‘date night’ I would just call a night out.

Outfit stats:
* dress – cos * shoes – clarks originals * bag – second hand shop * brooches – I made them *
