What I wore: pastels and black

This is the dress I wore in Copenhagen and I said I would shorten. So I did! It’s aceness having a sewing machine I’m not scared of, I can actually do these little jobs quickly. Anyway, someone in the comments on the Copenhagen post thought ten cms was too much to take off, but actually I think it’s just right!

The cardigan is a new thing. I got some gift cards from h&m for my birthday, and I used some of the money for two plain cardies from h&m, this black one and a green one. It had been a definite hole in my wardrobe, especially if I’m going to be making sleeveless tops and dresses. I do intend to knit my own eventually, and actually have yarn and a pattern for a black one but I’m stuck at about three quarters of the way through my first jumper (the sleeves, they are so tedious. I don’t mind lots of stockinette, the body went quickly, but it’s the counting I hate) and I’m not sure I’m up for starting another one straight away.

Outfit stats:
* vintage dress – charity shop * cardie – h&m * shoes – clarks *

    I hear you on the sleeves, I was stalled for at least a month on my cardigan for same reason!
    Nice alteration 🙂

      Thanks! I really have to chrack on with the sleeves. I read a thing recently about a way of doing both of them at the same time. Need to find out how that works!
