What I Wore: Braintree bamboo tunic with jeans

We’re back with the outfit posts, hurrah! This shows exactly why I picked the tunic from Braintree – it’s completely maternity appropriate! I just went up a size and I reckon this should last me until a couple of months before the due date (hope I haven’t jinxed it now and I’ll end up with the biggest bump ever!), and then afterwards I can go back to wearing it as a dress.

Until then, over jeans it is. I only had two pairs of maternity jeans last time, and only this pair still fits πŸ™ I’m currently hunting gumtree and the local Facebook groups for another pair, but pickings are surprisingly slim. There’s always eBay, but I’m too disorganised to bid in the last 30 seconds, I’ve missed to many deadlines already, and the buy it nows are usually a bit more than what I’d want to pay. I am pretty determined to get a second hand pair, there won’t be any more babies for me after this so it doesn’t seem worth the resource use for something so short term. Or the money. I do have some next vouchers I got for Christmas, but the only store to carry maternity stuff in Edinburgh is in an out of town shopping centre, and I just can’t be bothered to go there. Anyway, sorry, rambling, I am writing this late at night!*

Also hope no one minds the bump pictures! I know people bitch about them a lot on GOMI, but I use these posts to keep a record for myself, and I want to see how the bump size is progressing. This is 13 and a half weeks.

* Update: some came up on gumtree after I wrote this, so I’m sorted!

Outfit stats: tunic – c/o Braintree, jeans – h&m, shoes – Clark’s

If you need maternity things, then DO go and have a rummage at the Pregnancy & Parent Centre down by the canal (Lower Gilmore Place) – it can’t be too far from you. If you haven’t come across them – they do the best pregnancy yoga classes (with amazing leaders and great biscuits) and they have lovely, lovely nearly new sales of baby gubbins and maternity wear.

I did not know about this place, thanks for telling me! I’ll definitely go check it out! I’ve signed up for pregnancy yoga at meadowlark (where I usually do classes), but it’s good to have an alternative if I don’t like that teacher.

Yay! Glad to share something useful πŸ˜‰
There is a sale coming up in early Feb, I think, which if nothing else will have nice cake! All of the PPC yoga classes are all led by midwives and experienced birth supporters – so there is lots of chat pregnancy/birth chat afterwards and people bringing their new babies to visit. It might not suit everyone, but I loved it.

Love the wee bump, btw! Cute πŸ™‚
